Frequently Asked Questions
Are your clothes really made from ‘waste’?
Yes! We work with discarded fabrics from a variety of sources, which are carefully cleaned, sorted, and repurposed into new designs — ensuring nothing goes to waste. Our materials come from:
Textile waste collected from the Tonle Sap and Bassac rivers (with our partners at everwave 💙)
Secondhand clothing shops
Local tailors’ offcuts and leftover
Factory post-production materials (testing sheets, small pieces)
Market deadstock and end-of-roll fabrics (used occasionally)
How do you pick the clothes from the river??
How do you pay designers?
Our designers set the price for their creations. We may suggest adjustments for quantity, but we rarely negotiate down. ReMade then adds a percentage on top to cover logistics, shipping, materials, marketing, and other operational costs. Designers always keep their full original price.
Is the quality the same as regular clothes?
Absolutely. The fabrics we use are often the same high-quality textiles made for international brands. Our team carefully selects and inspects every piece of fabric, so you receive clothing that is durable, comfortable, and stylish.
Where can I buy your clothes?
You can shop through each season’s pre-order (coming soon), contact nind@remadeincambodia.com for custom orders, or visit our studio in Phnom Penh. We also partner with select hospitality and retail partners across Cambodia:
How do I care for my ReMade piece?
Most items can be machine-washed on a gentle cycle and air-dried. Since fabrics vary, we recommend checking the care label on your garment for specific instructions. Caring for your clothes properly also extends their lifespan.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we do! During our pre-order rounds or for custom orders. Shipping costs and delivery times vary depending on your location.
How can I support your mission beyond buying clothes?
You can share our story, visit us at events, collaborate with us, or partner with us through one of our five programs. You can also make a financial contribution - every donation directly supports our mission and helps build a more sustainable future in Cambodia.
